Vote for PBH in The Dole Bowl-A-Day Challenge, The Food Champs
When Consumers Win, PBH Wins
Wilmington, Del. - Produce for Better Health Foundation (PBH) is pleased to be one of five non-profits chosen to participate in the DOLE Bowl-A-Day Challenge. Consumers who enter the online contest choose which charity, PBH, American Cancer Society, American Red Cross, Feeding America, or a local school, that they want to receive $1,000 or 1,000 Dole Fruit Bowls. When the consumer wins, their chosen non-profit wins too. The contest began August 8 and continues through October.
The Food Champs
There are two ways for consumers (and PBH!) to win. Visit www.DoleChallenge.com and enter by submitting your e-mail address. The first way to win is by giving DOLE a tip about the different places and ways to enjoy DOLE Fruit Bowls. The consumer whose tip is chosen will be featured on the DOLE Challenge website for one week and will receive a $300 cash prize. Additionally, DOLE will donate 1,000 DOLE Fruit Bowls to the non-profit organization of that consumer's choice. While only one prize-winning tip will be featured each week, two other lucky winners will get $100 each week to encourage consumers to keep sending in tips and hints on how and where to eat healthy with the DOLE Bowl-A-Day Challenge. There will be 8 weekly $300 tip winners with the contest period for the tip ending on October 2, 2009.
The second way to win is by sending an eCard to friends and family inviting them to also participate in the DOLE Bowl-A-Day Challenge. The consumer who refers the most family and friends to the Challenge wins the grand prize of $1,000 cash and a $1,000 donation also goes to the non-profit organization of their choice.
"PBH is happy to be involved in the DOLE Bowl-A-Day Challenge," said Elizabeth Pivonka, Ph.D., R.D., president and CEO of Produce for Better Health Foundation. "This contest is a fun way to compile good tips to help make it easier for people to increase their fruit consumption and benefit their favorite non-profit organization at the same time."
