Immigration Expert Offers President Obama A Solution
Domenic Sgambellone, Author of "The America of My Dreams: A Political Manifesto" and Immigration expert, wrote a letter to President Obama. This letter states to the President, his dismay with how the Government is handling illegal immigration, and offers a solution based on the experience of an actual immigrant.
Sgambellone immigrated to the United States from Italy in 1963, in search of a better life. Upon coming to America, he became a legal US Citizen, proudly calling himself an American.
In the letter, Sgambellone informs President Obama that he didn't vote for him, but respects him and his role to lead the country. He calls on President Obama to fix our immigration problem in a bi-partisan or partisan way; one that will protect our citizens, their interests and unify our country at the same time.
"Its due time that Congress and the President fix the problem" Sgambellone states
Sgambellone does not believe that amending the 14th amendment will solve our immigration problem. Instead, Sgambellone offers our President a simple, yet effective plan to improve our immigration problem. Sgambellone has solution he feels will be fair to the immigrants already here and the citizens of this country.
His solution proposed to Obama is summed up like this,
* Make it illegal to hire any illegal citizen and fine those who disobey that law
* Secure our southern borders with our National Guard
* Continue building a fence along the border to slow access into the country
* Offer a path to become a legal resident or citizen.
This path will be executed in a manner that respects the concerns of the illegal immigrants and our citizens; while abiding by the laws set forth in our Constitution.
